These terms are the agreement between you, the business that opens a VeliraPay account, and VeliraPay, which runs VeliraPay ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If you use VeliraPay for a company, you confirm that you may accept them on its behalf.

They are about merchants. A customer who pays through a VeliraPay checkout is buying from the merchant, not from us, and that sale is governed by the merchant's own terms.

1. The service

VeliraPay lets you accept crypto payments: payment links, a hosted checkout, invoices, an API with signed webhooks and an MCP server for AI assistants. Each coin VeliraPay takes, and how many network confirmations it waits for, is listed in the documentation and on the coin's own page.

VeliraPay is in beta. Features can change, be added or be removed as it develops.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18, use VeliraPay for a business, and give true and complete details.
  • Keep your password, passkeys, two-factor codes and API keys safe. You are responsible for everything done with your account and your keys, including by the team members you invite and the assistants you connect.
  • Tell us at the contact details in our legal notice as soon as you suspect someone else has used your account.

3. How a payment reaches you

  • Every charge gets a deposit address of its own, made by VeliraPay and used for that payment alone. The exchange rate is locked for 30 minutes.
  • A payment counts once it has the confirmations its coin needs. We then keep the fee of your plan and send the rest to the payout address you gave for that coin, normally within minutes. The network fee for that transfer is taken from our fee when one is kept, and otherwise from the payment.
  • If you have not given a payout address for a coin, payments in it wait on your payouts page and are sent as soon as you give one.
  • We only hold a payment between its confirmation and its payout. VeliraPay is not a bank or a wallet: you have no balance with us, nothing earns interest and there is nothing to withdraw.
  • A shortfall within the tolerance you set counts as paid; a bigger one leaves the charge underpaid until the customer sends the rest or you accept it. A payment that arrives up to 3 hours after its charge expired is recorded for you to accept.
  • Coins sent on the wrong network, or a coin the charge was not for, are not credited and may not be recoverable.
  • Blockchain transfers cannot be reversed. A payout sent to the address you gave is final, even if that address was wrong, so check it with care. Changing a payout address asks for your password, and the account's owners and admins are emailed about it.
  • Refunds are yours to send, from your own wallet. You can record them on the charge so the customer's page shows them.
  • Test mode runs on test networks. Test coins are worth nothing: never send real coins to a test address.

4. Fees

  • On the free plan, we keep 3% of every payment when it is forwarded to you. There is no monthly price.
  • Pro costs $9.99 a month and keeps no fee on payments. It is paid a month at a time: in crypto from your billing page or, where offered, by card as a subscription you can cancel at any time. When a paid month runs out, the account goes back to the free plan.
  • Current prices are on the pricing page. We will tell you at least 30 days before a fee goes up, and a change never applies to a payment already made.

5. What you may not use VeliraPay for

You are responsible for following the law that applies to your business, including tax, consumer protection, anti-money-laundering and sanctions law. You may not use VeliraPay:

  • for anything illegal where you or your customers are, or to sell goods or services that are;
  • by or for anyone under sanctions, or in a country under comprehensive sanctions;
  • to launder money, finance terrorism or evade tax;
  • for fraud, scams, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, or anything that deceives customers;
  • for gambling, investments, securities or money transmission without the licences they require;
  • for material that sexually exploits anyone, or that infringes someone else's rights;
  • to mix or hide the origin of funds, or to pass payments through for someone else;
  • to attack, overload or probe the service, or to get around its limits and checks.

6. Suspending and closing an account

You can close your account at any time from its settings.

We may suspend or close an account, stop it taking new payments, or refuse to serve it, if it breaks these terms, if the law requires us to, or to protect customers or the service. We will tell you why when we are allowed to. A payment that has already confirmed is still forwarded to your payout address unless a court, an authority or the law requires us to hold it.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep VeliraPay running, but cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Blockchains and the providers we use to read them can be slow or unavailable, which can delay detecting a payment or sending a payout.

We may change these terms. For a change that matters, we will email the account's owners at least 30 days before it applies; if you keep using VeliraPay after that, you accept the new terms. The date at the top says when they last changed.

8. Liability

VeliraPay is provided as it is, without any promise that it suits a particular purpose. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for:

  • indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, revenue or data;
  • losses caused by blockchains themselves, such as forks, reorganisations or congestion, or by wallets and exchanges we do not run;
  • a payout address you gave that was wrong, or coins a customer sent on the wrong network, in the wrong coin or to an expired charge;
  • changes in the market price of a coin after its rate was locked or its payment forwarded.

Our total liability to you for anything related to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud.

You will compensate us for claims made against us because of what you sell, your dealings with your customers, or your breaking these terms or the law.

9. Personal data

How we handle personal data is set out in our Datenschutzerklärung.

For the details your checkout or invoices collect from your customers, you decide what is asked and why, and we process them for you: only to run the service, in confidence, with appropriate security, through the providers listed in the Privacy Policy. We help you answer your customers' requests about their data, and delete it when your account closes, except what the law requires us to keep.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the country where VeliraPay is established, and its courts hear any dispute about them, unless a law you cannot contract out of says otherwise.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms go to the contact details in our legal notice.
